Terms and conditions

1. General

1.1. These terms and conditions (hereinafter: the “Terms”) apply to the SOS Kinderdorf Charity Bike Accessory Donation Campaign (hereinafter: the “Campaign”). The Campaign is organized by Lease a Bike, part of Bike Mobility Services B.V. (“BMS”), based at Otto-Bauer-Gasse 6/3-5, 1060 Vienna, Austria, to promote Lease a Bike and support the non-profit organization SOS Kinderdorf Österreich.

1.2. BMS, Otto-Bauer-Gasse 6/3-5, 1060 Vienna, Austria, is the legal entity responsible for collecting and processing your personal data in connection with this Lease a Bike campaign. BMS is part of Pon Holdings B.V. and its affiliated companies (“Pon”). BMS and Pon are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal data.

1.3. The Campaign is promoted on the Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook pages of Lease a Bike (hereinafter: the “Social Media Pages”). Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn are not involved in or responsible for the Campaign. The Campaign is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by these platforms.

1.4. Although the Campaign is aimed at collecting donations for SOS Kinderdorf, the organization itself is not involved in or responsible for the Campaign. It is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by SOS Kinderdorf. Lease a Bike will make the total donation (as defined in Section 8) only after the Campaign has ended, in the form of bicycle accessories (see also Section 8).

2. Who can participate?

2.1. Participation in the Campaign is open exclusively to individuals who are employed by a company based in Austria that is affiliated with Lease a Bike and who are at least 18 years of age (hereinafter: the “Participants”).

2.2. By participating in the Campaign, the Participant agrees to these Terms.

2.3. All Lease a Bike employees and their relatives, as well as third parties involved in organizing the Campaign, are excluded from participation.

3. How and when to participate?

3.1.1. The Campaign begins on 12.03.2025 at 00:01 and ends on 12.03.2025 at 23:59 (hereinafter: the “Campaign Period”). During the Campaign Period, participants can visit the Lease a Bike booth at HREX 2025 and throw balls at a target board to contribute to the donation.

4. Personal data and data protection

4.1. By participating in the Campaign, the Participant consents to the processing of their personal data by Lease a Bike and/or appointed third parties, as outlined in this section.

4.2. Lease a Bike will only process the personal data of Participants that is necessary for the execution of the Campaign. The Participant guarantees that all provided data is accurate and complete.

4.3. Lease a Bike will (i) not collect more personal data than necessary and (ii) not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area unless permitted under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

5. Prize claim

5.1. Any prize winner will be notified directly at the event. Claims after the event will not be accepted.

6. Donation

6.1. Lease a Bike will donate the “scored” amount for each throw on the Lease a Bike target board by a participant during the Campaign Period.

6.2. After the Campaign ends, Lease a Bike will calculate the total number of throws and determine the final donation amount. The maximum donation amount is €750.

6.3. Lease a Bike will issue the total donation to SOS Kinderdorf in the form of bicycle accessories by May 1, 2025.

7. Liability

7.1. Lease a Bike is not liable for any damages of any kind in connection with participation in the Campaign, including those arising from incorrect prize descriptions, the organization of the Campaign, or tax obligations of the winner.

8. Miscellaneous

8.1. Lease a Bike reserves the right to terminate the Campaign at any time without prior notice or to amend these Terms.

8.2. In case of fraud, Lease a Bike reserves the right to withhold the prize and exclude the relevant participant from the Campaign.

8.3. These Terms are governed by Austrian law. Any disputes will be handled by the competent courts in Vienna.

9. Use of logos

9.1. Lease a Bike reserves the right to use the logos of participating companies and the supported non-profit organization (SOS Kinderdorf Österreich) in connection with the Campaign.

9.2. If a participating company or organization does not wish its logo to be used, it must notify Lease a Bike in writing before the Campaign starts.

10. Prize

10.1. A giveaway of a set containing a signed jersey, a Visma Lease a Bike water bottle, and a cap will be conducted by Lease a Bike after the campaign ends, by no later than April 1, 2025. The winner will be notified using the contact details provided.

10.2. The winner of the set will be drawn using the website https://wheelofnames.com among all Lease a Bike participants.

10.3. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for other prizes or cash.

10.4. Lease a Bike reserves the right to cancel the awarded prize if force majeure makes the awarding or use of the prize unreasonable or impossible.

10.5. If a winner is, for any reason, ineligible to receive the prize, their entitlement to the prize will expire. In this case, Lease a Bike will draw a new winner.

11. Complaints and contact

11.1. Complaints related to the Campaign may be submitted in writing to Lease a Bike, Otto-Bauer-Gasse 6/3-5, 1060 Vienna, Austria.
